1994 Specialized Hardrock FS 22" dark green / orange accent
Classic do-it-all mountain bike, best for tall riders 6’0″-7’0″. I think it is the first Specialized Hardrock equipped with front shocks. I restored this bike into a comfortable city roadster, modernized with new 8-speed cassette, shifters, brake pads, cables and tires. A lot more comfortable riding position is achieved by the new taller stem and new swept back handlebar.
The frame color looks like black, but under direct sun it is a noble dark green metallic. Orange component match the bike’s name and Specialized logos.
I decided to keep the original SR DuoTrack 7001 front shocks and completely disassemble front suspension and serviced it. This bike is ready for another 30 years of maintenance-free service.
This is David’s bike now.
