2000 Specialized Enduro Expert 19”
Classic ALL ORIGINAL, all mountain bike in showroom conditions. Best for 5’8”-6’2” riders.
Enduro is a type of mountain bike racing for all abilities, usually long distance, where the downhills are timed, and the uphills are not. Enduro bikes are designed for prolonged rough racing. They are more rigid and have better suspension than cross-country racers, but lighter and faster than downhill bikes. They are often called “All Mountain” bikes. Here is this bike’s page in the original 2000 Specialized Catalog.
Lightweight A1 aluminum frame, Specialized FSR adjustable suspension with full cartridge bearings, full suspension (Fox FLOAT-R air shock and RockShox Judy Race with Hydra Coil), Hayes Hydraulic disk brakes, Mavic 233 rims, Shimano XTR/XT 27-speed drivetrain, 26”x2.1” all terrain tires. I accentuated the original Black Satin/Yellow color scheme with yellow cable housings and pedals. I bought this bike in immaculate conditions – its broken bottom bracket made this bike not rideable and it spend much of its days in storage. Original price: $2100.
This is Ron’s bike now.
