Simple do-it-all mountain bike. Best for 5’10”-6’6″ riders. It is a perfect inexpensive city commuter that can be taken off the paved roads. Light, well made aluminum alloy frame, Shimano 21-speed drivetrain, 26″ all terrain wheels.
This bike looks and works a lot better than new. Understanding that Outlook is not Diamondback’s best bike, I rebuilt it out of the pure curiosity. Based on pristine rims condition, this bike was not used at all; however, a couple months of outdoor storage in San Francisco suburbs destroyed most of its steel components. Restoration pics below shows why it is not a good idea to use cheap components. Only aluminum frame still looked good. It is a simple bike that doesn’t need top components, but why not use a sealed bottom bracket ($30), stainless spokes ($20), and a decent quality paint? I completely disassembled this bike and replaced most of its rusted-beyond-repair original components with new, better quality components.
This is Robert’s bike now.
