I restored this bike for Salvador. It is light, good looking, and well-made bike we don’t know much about except:
- Based on company logo on the headset, it is made by Korean company Speedline.
- Speedline produces a CTR line of hybrid bikes beginning in 2010. This one is likely the first CTR model.
- Speedline bikes were produced for South Korea by Alton Sports at the Alton factory located in Tianjin, China.
- Translated pages about CTR 1.0, CTR 3.0, and CTR 5.0
- CTR is an urban high speed hybrid, built specifically for Korean urban terrain with many hills. It is peculiar that all CTR bikes are painted in either white or black, I can’t find any other colors.
- Label on the seatpost tube indicates adherence to a certain quality standard
- We can’t read the label on the fork
I completely disassembled this bike; de-rusted all components, removed blotchy remnants of previous touch-paint, re-painted frame and fork, repacked both hubs bearings. We’ll keep most of the existing components, replacing the chain, handlebars, 7-speed shifter, spoke protector, handlebar grips, and brake levers.
If you can help us to better identify this bike, please email me directly at bikesheaven1@gmail.com. Thank you!
