This is a classic, one of the last Trek bikes, handmade in the USA. Trek aluminum alloy frames are known for their durability and geometry. This frame is in excellent condition. The color is a highly regarded ‘Dragonfly Orange’. The ZX (Zero Excess) branding on the top tube indicates it was part of Trek’s high-performance aluminum mountain bike line. Key Features: Alpha Custom Aluminum frame (Trek’s proprietary lightweight alloy); RockShox Judy C fork, ICON and Bontrager components (standard factory spec for Trek mountain bikes of the late ’90s), 24-speed Shimano drivetrain. The Bontrager Jones all-terrain tires set still looks great. MSRP: $750.
Check the 1999 Trek Catalog and BikePedia about this bike.
I restored this bike for Jack.
