This is a very unusual bike. I think it is a European version of the 1996 Specialized Rockhopper A1 Comp FS. Based on the Specialized catalogs I have, the ‘Norris Blue’ color was used for only one model: 1996 Stumpjumper M2 FS Comp. See Page 20 and Page 57 (specs) of the 1996 Specialized catalog. This color does not appear in any other USA catalogs.

The 1997 Specialized catalog published in the USA shows the Specialized Rockhopper A1 Comp FS on Page 25 and Page 95 (specs). The only color shown there is Polished/”Ball Burnished.”

The only published image of a Rockhopper in ‘Norris Blue’ I found in the 1997 Specialized catalog published in Warsaw, Poland. Take a look at the 1997 Specialized Rockhopper A1 Comp FS on Page 27 in ‘Norris Blue’, yet the text on this page and Page 94 (specs) calls it Polished/”Ball Burnished.”
I think your bike is a European version of this model in a super rare color.

I believe this bike’s frame is a 1996 ‘Norris Blue’ Rockhopper, not mentioned in any catalogs. The logos on this frame don’t match the style of other Specialized bikes (Specialized on the top tube, Rockhopper on the bottom tube).
