1990 Univega Alpina Trail 21" spotted green/black

Best for 6’0″-6’8″ riders; standover height 31″. This bike has a 21″ triple-butted (no kidding!) CroMoly steel frame, 21-speed drivetrain, 26″x1.96″ urban tires. I replaced the old-school bottom bracket with the new, sealed BB, de-rusted the frame, trued wheels, and electrified this build with hot pink components. This is Robyn’s bike now

Based on Marin Museum of Bicycling website, in 1982 an earlier version of Univega Alpina, together with Specialized Stumpjumper, became the first mass-produced mountain bikes. I accentuated this awesome spotted/hammered frame with pink components, just like on the smaller-framed version of this bike.
