1971 Triumph red

All original Triumph English roadster, best for 5’6″-5’11” riders.

This bike is a 1971 English 3-speed Roadster from Nottingham. Perfect combination of ultimate comfort (perfectly upright riding position ) and traditional British style. The Triumph Cycle Company was managed by Raleigh since 1956. Super comfortable bicycle with Sturmey-Archer AW internally geared 3-speed hub. It is a true do-it-all bike that is fast enough on paved road, and sturdy enough off-road. These bikes were so universal, comfortable, reliable, and well built, that they were nearly unchanged, from 1930x to 1980x. See “How a bicycle is made” (1945). These bikes were used as utility bikes by British Army and Police, known as “Bobby Bikes”. It is an ‘all steel bicycle’.

After complete disassemby of this bike, thorough cleaning, and inspection of every component, I properly lubricated and tuned up everything on this bike, making it function like new, and be ready for another 50 years of service. Yes, it includes both hubs, headset bearings, and pedals bearings. Everything.

Photos labeled “options” depict optional components, not included: cup holder with leather straps, leather tools pouch, Aukmont or Brooks leather saddles.

Available for $700. Email me  at bikesheaven1@gmail.com with any questions. Shipping in the continental USA is $250
