This classic Schwinn Typhoon Deluxe was upgraded before I got it with a modern 26″-diameter rear wheel and a Shimano Nexus 3-speed internal hub and twist shifter. The original front wheel uses a Schwinn 26x2x1-3/4″ tire. More info on this bike in the 1965 Schwinn Catalog. We preserved the original “flamboyant red” color of the curved frame and fork with a coat of wax.

This bike’s serial number is DA28046, it means it was produced in April of 1965.
First letter indicates the month of production:
